This year's scrapbooking event at Kingsbury is now history, but it turned out to be one for the record books. A record number of scrapbookers - 83! - enjoyed the day creating memories, being pampered by their Kingsbury hosts, and snacking and dining on delicious snacks and meals provided by Red Knapps, the Historic White Horse Inn, and the school community. Vendors were on hand to assist croppers with their projects, and a masseuse provided free sessions to the delight of our guests. There were hourly door prizes given away throughout the day, and the event culminated with the 52-card raffle for an I-Pad 2. Congratulations to the Files family on winning the I-Pad.
Approximately $5,600 was raised by this year's event, a new high for scrapbooking at our school! These funds will help provide for special projects at Kingsbury Country Day School, such as the purchase of art supplies and books for our reading program, as well as support for the PYP program.
Our thanks and appreciation go to the Kingsbury community for their help in coordinating this event, especially Chairperson Cindy Edie, the Lawrey family, David Scovic, the Files/Stephens family, Mike Rowe, Betsy Stephanic, Tara Moyer, our friends Sveta and Anna Cetlinski, Keiren Shimmel, and everyone else who contributed time, donations or goods to this event. It could not have been as successful as it was without your generous help and support!
